Despite this weekend’s damp weather, spirits were high at Missouri City’s 26th Annual Snowfest Festival, which featured tons of fun. The event kicked off with a parade of people, including Excel Urgent Care, Girl and Boy Scouts, high school bands, dancers, cheerleaders, community groups, local businesses, and Missouri City firehouse clowns, partying down Cartwright Road from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Excel Urgent Care staffed joined in the fun of the parade and handed out koozies to all the welcoming viewers. We are thrilled to have participated in a Halloween Event at the city’s newest park addition, Buffalo Run Park located in Missouri City! The event was held on Saturday, Oct 24. Excel Urgent Care was a proud sponsor of the 2009 Boo Run Halloween event and donated candy for over three thousand little ones who attended this event. Excel was proud to be a part of Saturday evening Family Movie Night with the Fairfield Woman's Club.  The event took place at the Keith Elementary soccer field in Fairfield neighborhood. The fall weather was fantastic and all the Fairfield residence came out to enjoy family entertainment! There were a variety sponsors whom volunteer their time for a pre-show exhibit. The movie presentation was "Madagascar"
proudly sponsored by Lennar Homes.
Excel Urgent Care donating their time at the community event and brought with them glow in the dark necklaces for the third year in a row. The necklaces were out to all the little ones right before the movie began.
 
 

Congratulations on our successful 3rd Annual Blood Drive. Excel Urgent Care collected a total of  13 units in "whole blood" and 2 units of "double red cells". Thanks to your efforts and the contributions of the donors as many as 45 lives will be saved.  Great Job!

Excel Urgent Care was a leading sponsor at this year’s Coles Crossing Easter Egg Hunt.  We proudly participated in this community event by bringing 1000 stuffed eggs.  The event was very successful! So successful, the expected rain even held out for all the kids to enjoy themselves. 
 

2009 Fairfield Baseball Day was a hit.  Spring season was filled with lots of fun . The day begun with  parade as each team was announced for the season. Parents walked and decorating their car to show support.  Many vendors of the community came out and joined in on the celebration as well . Excel Urgent Care was a proud sponsor by donating
first aids kits to all the baseball moms.

Excel Urgent Care offers flu shots on a walk-in basis during our normal office hours starting in October each year. Please call us to confirm the availability and price of our flu shots.

We offer flu shots to all adults and children over the age of 6 monthsWe recommend that children under 3 years of age are given their flu vaccination (which is administered in two doses) by their pediatrician.

With the exception of Medicare patients, all patients must pay for their flu shot by cash or credit card at the time of the visit. We are required to bill Medicare directly for flu shots given to Medicare patients.

Excel Urgent Care only gives the traditional "killed" vaccine by injection; this vaccine cannot cause the flu, and its most common side effect is soreness at the injection site.

Other vaccinations that we provide are:

• Tetanus;
• Hepatitis A;
• Hepatitis B
• Pneumovax; and,
• MMR

Brownie Troop # 14247 came by and took a tour of ExcelUrgent Care to help earn their "Health Habits" try it! The staff welcomed them with travel first aid kits, color sheets & snacks to enjoy while visiting the office.  Along with their treats, the girls also enjoyed viewing all the high tech technology, understood the importance of good healthy habits , and discussed with Dr. Ogunro what they should do in a emergency situation.

May 2008 was our 2nd annual blood drive. Everyone who donated blood had a chance to enter in our drawing for a famil fun basket! Give the gift of life, be a blood donor!
